In the statistics dashboard, there is mention of a download, a start, and a stream. But what exactly are the differences?
Download: Anyone who has called up the audio file of your episode once. For example, by pressing "start" on Apple Podcasts, or via the podcast website / the Springcast embedded player. It doesn't matter whether the listener listens to your episode for 5 seconds or 30 minutes.
Start: Spotify uses "start" the same as a download. Download and start are the same, but Spotify uses a different name for it.
Stream: Spotify registers a "stream" when someone has listened to your episode for at least 60 seconds.
The terms start and stream are currently only used by Spotify.
