If you are currently hosting your podcast with Buzzsprout and want to move it to Springcast, you can simply use our import function. Follow the steps below to make sure your move to Springcast is successful.

2. Export your statistics
It is wise to export your Buzzsprout statistics. Make sure you do this before you move to Springcast. This way, your statistics will remain up-to-date. Unfortunately, you won't be able to bring your Buzzsprout statistics with you to Springcast.
1. Log in to your Buzzsprout account
2. Select 'Stats'
3. Select which period of time you wish to export
4. Select the grey download button at the top right side of your screen
5. Submit which statistics you wish to export
6. Select 'Generate Reports'

3. Select which period of time you wish to export
4. Select the grey download button at the top right side of your screen
5. Submit which statistics you wish to export
6. Select 'Generate Reports'
7. You can also export episodes statistics individually
8. Select the episode you wish to generate statistics from, select 'More options' and select 'view episode stats'. Now you're ready to export your episode statistics
NOTE: you can only export statistics once every 48 hours.
3. Copy your Springcast RSS feed
Now it's time to copy your Springcast RSS feed. You need this to notify Buzzsprout of the move to Springcast.
Go to the 'Distribution' tab and select 'Copy' button next to the RSS link.
4. Report your move to Buzzsprout
NOTE: After placing the redirect, the episode level statistics in Spotify for Podcasters will be set to 0. If you want to keep these statistics, make sure you make an export before you place the redirect. Your general show-level data, such as streams, listeners, and followers, will be retained after placing the redirect.
NOTE: Once the redirect is passed, Buzzsprout will automatically convert your subscription to a free subscription by the end of the subscription period. With this subscription, episodes older than 90 days will be removed based on the upload date. The podcast website urls of those episodes and embedded players will also disappear immediately with this, so make sure you replace these with Springcast podcast website urls or embedded players. Advice: replace this also for episodes not older than 90 days, but this can also be done after the move (please do this as soon as possible).
Checked everything when importing your podcast and exported the statistics? Well done! Now it's time to let Buzzsprout know you're moving. You do this by placing a 301 Redirect. This is a permanent redirect from one URL to another. You will need the Springcast RSS feed you've copied in the previous step.
1. Log in to your Buzzsprout account
2. Select 'Settings'
3. Select 'Cancel / Redirect Podcast'
4. Scroll to the orange column 'Redirect and Downgrade' and select 'Redirect Your Podcast Feed'
5. Follow the steps and make sure you set a redirect to your Springcast RSS feed
We advise you not to close the Buzzsprout free account immediately, but 2 weeks after the move. This gives the directories time to direct listeners to the correct (new) feed.
