The import tool will bring the following data from your current podcast hosting provider:
- Audio files
- Podcast artwork (image)
- Show description
- Episode titles
- Episode descriptions
- Season / episode numbers
1. Import your existing podcast

2. Export your statistics
Podcast statistics are not transferred to Springcast. Want to save them anyway? Make sure that you have exported and saved the statistics at your hostingservice of your podcast before you redirect.
3. Notify your current host of your move
After importing your podcast, Springcast provides a unique podcast RSS feed. You'll need this RSS feed for your current host to redirect your podcast. With this redirect the host knows that you have moved and listeners and subscribers will automatically be directed to the new feed.
Read these tips carefully before placing the redirect:
Tip 1: Things may change in your subscription with your current host after the redirect has been set up. After the redirect, it's possible you only have limited access to your account. Please check with your current host.
Tip 2: After placing the redirect and/or adjusting your RSS-feed, the statistics in Spotify for Podcasters at episode level will be set to 0. If you want to keep these statistics, make sure you make an export before you place the redirect/RSS-feed. Your general show-level data, such as streams, listeners and followers, will be preserved and continue after you place the redirect/adjust RSS-feed. In Apple, your statistics simply continue to count.
Tip 3: After placing the redirect, the URLs to the podcast pages and the embedded players of your old host may no longer work. Do you use this? Then make sure you replace them with Springcast's URLs or embedded players before placing the redirect or as soon as possible after placing the redirect.

Tip 4: Wait before cancelling your subscription with your current host. Cancel your subscription only after you've checked to see if everything is working properly.
If you place a redirect, apps like Spotify and Apple may automatically pick up your new RSS-feed. We often see that this does not happen, so that is why you still adjust the RSS-feed manually, but it can be done automatically (step 4).
Many hosts allow you to place the redirect yourself in the dashboards. Don't see the option? Then you can ask the host to place it for you.
4. Notify Spotify, Apple, etc. of your move.
The only thing left to do is to report the move to Spotify, Apple etc. We've made a list of apps where you might need to change your link below:
- Spotify (read: adjust RSS feed Spotify)
- Apple podcasts (read: adjust RSS feed Apple)
- Podimo (read: adjust your RSS-feed in Podimo)
- Castbox
- Pocket Casts
- YouTube
- On your website
- On your LinkedIn profile
You can simply update your RSS link by copying the Springcast RSS link. This way, all of your existing episodes will remain visible to your followers. Just make sure you don't create a new podcast show.
