On the website of the host you are moving to, you will find a step-by-step plan for carrying out the move. You will also find useful articles in our Knowledge Base. These deal with moving to Springcast, but of course this also works the other way round. One of these steps is placing a redirect. You need us for that ;D
Placing a redirect
When moving from one host to another, placing a redirect is important. This is how you let the (listening) platforms know you have moved and make sure your listeners/followers are directed to the right feed.
How do I place the redirect?
Contact our support requesting a redirect. In this mail, provide your current Springcast RSS feed as well as your new RSS feed. We want everyone to have the best experience of our product and service. So, do you have feedback for us or an experience to share, tips.... everything is welcome!
We will then notify you when the redirect is posted.
Cancelling Springcast subscription
Please note: after the redirect has been placed, your subscription to Springcast is not cancelled immediately. You still have to do this yourself.
We advise you not to cancel your Springcast subscription until you are sure that the move has been successful. Read how to do this here.
Your podcast(s) will be removed from our servers within 14 days after cancelling your account.
